The story is simple. Some guy accidentally hit a biker with his car (nothing serious). The biker got angry and told the car driver that he will kick his ass for it. Without thinking, the car driver decided to flee the scene. While he was gone, the biker and a couple of his friends flipped the guys car, broke the headlights & the front window. Apparently police and firefighters did come but they didn’t help to solve the situation.

Moscow’s metro system opened in 1935 and is the second most heavily used metro system in the world. It covers almost the entire area of Moscow with 292.2 kilometers of tunnels. It has 12 lines, 177 stations and carries about 7 million passengers a day.

Here’s a monument which has been built on 11th of November this year in Moscow. Russia, as most of you may know has a serious drinking problem and a lot of people die in accidents every year due to drunk driving. This 12 meter monument if supposed to remind the drivers that drinking and driving can be fatal.

Counter Strike is a very popular game in Russia and championships are often organized between players to determine who is the best. This championship is between two teams, Virtus.pro (Winners of the «Arbalet Cup Russia 2009» and «Asus Cup Summer 2009») and forZe (Bronze finalists of the «Arbalet Cup Kazakhstan 2009» and «WCG Russia 2009»). But this time, the organizers decided to make this championship a bit special by hiring a few female dancers.

Marussia – The First Russian Supercar

Nikolay Fomenko, who was probably busy enough being a popular singer, television new anchor and theater actor, also found time to become an FIA N-GT champion. And if that was not enough to keep this Russian renaissance man busy, he has just launched his country’s first sportscar company, Marussia. To top it off, it’s a hybrid, just to make things more difficult.

Fomenko states that he brought a lot of knowledge from his racing career to bear on the Marussia. We see elements of just about every supercar on the market in its appearance, but it manages to still look unique. While he envisions producing a pure electric car sometime down the road, the company’s first project will be a hybrid.

The Marussia is slated to use a 240-hp, 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine, most likely from Renault or Nissan, but it’s unclear where the electric drive components will originate from. While much of the car’s parts are expected to be sourced from established companies, approximately 35% of the content will be Russian.

Adding a bit of sizzle to its speed, the Marussia will also have “a host of gadgets,” including a 4G Yota network with 10 Mbps data transfer rates at vehicle speeds of up to 120 km/h. Bluetooth, GPS and video screens all around, plus a 320 GB hard drive to round out the electronics.

The goal for the electric supercar is a 400km range, but Russian winters mean the batteries will need a boost. That’s where nanotechnology comes in. Fomenko thinks the solution might be in a “nanotech project made at one of Russia’s big construction bureaus.” The company foresees a 0-62 mph dash of around five seconds and a Tesla-like price tag of $100,000. Plans call for the first customer cars to be delivered next Fall, with race versions taking part in the 2010 edition of FIA GT championship. Fomenko is clearly nothing if not ambitious.

Ostankino Tower – The Tallest Abandoned Structure in The World

The Ostankino Tower – 550 m (1772 feet) was completed in 1967 to mark the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. It was the first free-standing structure to exceed 500 m (1640 ft) and held that title for nine years until it was surpassed by the CN Tower in Toronto in 1976. The Ostankino Tower is named after the Moscow district in which it is located.

It served telecommunication, observation and tourism purposes until it caught fire in August of 2000 when most of the tower’s interior was destroyed. Rebuilding the heavily damaged tower proved a long and costly task, so that both the tower and the idea of renovation have been abandoned ever since.
